Diary, September 5th

I’m sitting on my Macbook, next to Chiu who is sleeping on the floor. I have been a much better mom lately. Because instead of always just focusing on me and what I want, I now spend everyday preparing things for the next day for Chiu. I look up activities we can do together and am generally less driven to have as much time for work as possible. It’s like preparing for a trip. Which some planning, the whole trip will definitely go much smoother, than when you go somewhere and end up lost.

How can we change the world ?

Like a quote I read today. It is easier to raise empathic children, than to fix broken adults. We have heard it over and over again. Children are our future. Yet I’m actually shocked by how little we get to learn about how to properly raise children so they can become caring and empathic adults with “mindsight” (the ability to put yourself in somebody else’s shoes).

BTS: Shooting for Vietnamese TV Show

Today we filmed a TV episode for a Vietnamese TV show at home by ourselves. I’m very curious about how this will turn out. It’s mostly about Chiu and our challenged as family during Covid lockdown.
