If someone asked me for one dish I'd have to eat for the rest of my life, I wouldn't pick a whole meal, but something a lot more plain. Delicious bread with butter would be my answer. I can easily turn into an addict if you buy me a crispy loaf of bread and give me some butter, too. It's really hard for me to stop eating then. A lot of my excess weight exists thanks to this love for bread and butter I guess. I think that's the one thing I could eat for the rest of my life.
Because breakfast is the one meal of the day, which traditionally includes bread, it's my favorite meal of the day. With my diet on track i find it hard to eat anything else, because everything else doesn't make me as happy as a simple bread, butter, pate and fried egg breakfast : ( Boyfriend and me decided to have a sin day today though, so we went to Chipps to have breakfast ! Because my kitchen was too messy, and I couldn't be bothered to clean and cook. I saw that place on Pinterest, and the interior looked very nice, and I read great reviews about it too, so it was my first and only possible choice. People who care so much about interior, definitely have to care about their food too, and I didn't get disappointed ! Their bread was sooooo yummy ! It was really really good. Crispy outside and soft inside. But not too soft. Simply delicious. I would have been happy with only nibbling on my bread all morning, which was included (for freeee), but we ordered two dishes nonetheless, because everything else would have been odd.
My egg was perfect, salad was good, sausages too, nothing to complain. Same with boyfriend's Egg Benedict. Of course this is something you can easily do at home, but I wanted to try this place anyway to get a change of environment, and sometimes it's nice to just eat out. I really liked the interior, the service was nice, and they really do put a lot of attention to details there. I will definitely want to come back for dinner soon ! In my opinion Chipps is a great place to take your date for dinner or breakfast. There are two locations in Berlin, one near Gendarmenmarkt and one on Friedrichstrasse. Both have good reviews. You will find all necessary information on their website, so just google. I think it was originally supposed to be a Vegetarian restaurant, but now they serve meat for breakfast as well.
