First Skating Lesson
I grew up being very timid and shy. Even though there were so many things I always wanted to learn, I never dared asking someone to teach me. It took me a very long time to accept that there is a first time for everyone and everything, and that no one is being born a champion. All you need is to start, and to do. A couple weeks ago I woke up and realized that I don't want to regret things that I didn't do anymore. I never regret things that I did do. I'm very good at accepting life as it comes. But I always regret things I didn't do. So I decided to start a few new projects, so I don't have to look back one day thinking, 'man, I should have done that'.
One big thing on my list was skating. I posted a status on Facebook asking who'd be willing to teach me and Lou was the first one to offer me help. I met up with him and his friend Marc today, we went to the Titus store at Alexanderplatz, got me a board for 100 Euro and went to a concert hall near Mauerpark to start my very first lesson. I was a little worried, but it turned out that I'm a super natural. Just kidding. I had experience with a longboard before, so I did have some confidence while doing the most basic thing with a board: pushing it forward. All in all I had a fun day with the guys, and am grateful that they encouraged me a lot. If anyone in Berlin wanna join for skating lessons, let me know. Those guys are fun ! I will definitely meet them more often in the future and will try to improve my skating skills. I've always wanted to learn it ! And now I'm doing it : D It feels absolutely great !
By the way, I will start taking photos daily from now on ! And blog about my daily life more often. Cos actually I love taking photos a lot. Capturing great moments and memories, how couldn't I.
